“Shari and Adilah made our first homebirth experience more memorable than we could have imagined. Shari is full of knowledge, wisdom, and reminders to keep you motivated during pregnancy and birth. Adilah is nurturing and passionate about her patients and their well-being. They make a great team and never fail to express how much they care about you, even after birth. Truly, I feel so blessed that these women are based in Houston, and I had the opportunity to walk through my pregnancy and postpartum journey with them. I cannot recommend Tulip Midwifery enough!” -MB
We know choosing a midwife comes with lots of questions, and we’re here to help. Below you’ll find answers to some of the questions we hear most often. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d be honored to connect with you and provide the guidance you need.
Your appointment will take place at our clinic located at:
440 Cobia
Suite 103
Katy, TX 77494
Or, for a service fee, you can choose to have all of your appointments in the comfort of your home.
We typically hold appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 9 am and 5 pm. Sometimes we overflow on Friday, but try to keep it to mornings.
We are on call for laboring clients 24/7, so the rescheduling of appointments occurs. We thank you for your patience when this does affect your appointment.
No, we are a full scope clinic for well visits, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborns up to 6 weeks. We also have an IBCLC (lactation specialist) and educators on staff to make sure you are fully supported. Many of our clients choose us as their low-risk primary care practitioner.
We are considered out of network for all major insurance carriers. However, the service providers we use for labs and Ultrasounds do accept insurance.
We also accept payments from HSA and FLEX spending accounts. After care is complete, you can use our contracted biller, who will help you navigate your insurance to see if you qualify for a benefit refund.
We accept cash, check, Zelle, debit, HSA, FLEX, and credit cards with a 3% fee.
A retainer payment is due at your first visit, and then a portion is due at each visit, with amounts due throughout your pregnancy. The total fee is due by 32 weeks, with no refunds after we go on call for you at 36 weeks.
We are flexible in the event a life event happens, but we request prior communication before your financial responsibility comes due.
