Absolutely fantastic team, I am thoroughly grateful for Adilah and Shari! After 3 medicated hospital births, I knew I was looking for something more in line with how I have always envisioned birth to be, and I knew that continuing care with my OB was not going to get me there. Adilah and Shari are wonderfully passionate, skilled, and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions, gave me grace, and helped me trust myself and my body at such a vulnerable time. Visiting them in office felt like sitting down for a cup of tea with an old friend — with pre- and post- natal care included. My first home birth/postpartum era was healing in a myriad of ways, and I believe it had everything to do with having them as my birth team. They provided truly exceptional and all-encompassing care. Randie Lin48 days agoWe had a wonderful lesson for young ladies at Tulip Midwifery. Adilah Yelton put together a beautiful session to teach them about their developing and changing bodies. There were a lot of “ew yuck!” but also quiet revelations and good hearty questions by the girls. I am glad to be able to hang out with the group because it was informative for me, the mom, as well. This way, I can continue the conversation with my daughter (nieces, goddaughter, etc) at home and for the future. It was a relaxing environment with a lot of dialogue, hands on approach, and student centered. I look forward to a return session and other sessions.+2Posted on Google
Truc Le48 days agoI attended a Growing and Glowing workshop with my 10 year old to learn about the menstrual cycle and it was such an informational workshop! Adilah did an amazing job explaining all of the phases of the menstrual in a way that the girls could easily remember and understand it. I also learned a lot myself as an adult, that I did not know. From the different kind of products to how certain foods can help us during, before or after our menstrual, and what to expect during each phase. Such an amazing experience!! sarah khalil114 days agoThis being my third natural birth with the assistance of a midwife, I have to say I am truly grateful for the team at Tulip. They provided thoughtful care throughout the entirety of my pregnancy. I felt comfortable and at ease with the entire staff as they made me feel that they had my best interest at heart. The actual delivery was amazing because of their professionalism, knowledge of my birth plan, and expertise in the birthing process. Megan Biar147 days agoAfter having two hospital births, I was blown away by the quality of midwifery care I received from Tulip. From Shari's supplement and nutrition recommendations to even the ability to contact her when needed, I noticed a big difference in how I felt physically and mentally this pregnancy compared to my others. Shari is so sweet and caring and always took the time to keep me well informed along the way and to give space for any questions. She made a way for me to have the home birth I dreamed of and to feel so confident and peaceful through it. Can't recommend Tulip enough!Posted on Google
Emily Pace206 days agoShari is the best of the best! If you want to have a homebirth, I highly recommend her and her team. Shari is beyond knowledgeable and stays up to date with everything. Her team is always taking time to do trainings for different things and it made me feel much better knowing this. As a first time momma, I felt so safe and understood throughout my entire pregnancy and labor. She respected everything I wanted and desired for myself and my baby. She not only gave me the confidence I needed to achieve a VBAC, but also supported me emotionally and physically throughout the entire process. Shari is incredibly gentle, kind, and reassuring, and I cannot recommend her enough. She helped me feel completely comfortable and safe, and I truly don’t believe I would have had such a smooth labor and birth without her. She was everything a midwife should be— knowledgable, compassionate, and honest. Even after I had my little boy, she checked on me often and even came by to make sure he was doing well. Katelyn Gomez331 days agoI’m a little late in leaving this review, but I couldn’t go without sharing the immense gratitude I have for Shari and her team. This was my second birth, but my first home birth, and the experience was everything I had hoped for and more. From prenatal care to the birth itself and postpartum support, Shari’s knowledge, compassion, and genuine care for both mom and baby truly shine. She made me feel safe, seen, and empowered every step of the way. I healed ten times faster and felt so much more rested and whole compared to my first birth — and that was everything to me. Shari gave me the confidence to trust my body and the power to fully experience the (9 lb!!!) birth without needing to mask the feelings or sensations that bring us into motherhood. Shari is full of knowledge, wisdom and reminders to keep you motivated during pregnancy and birth. Adilah is nurturing and passionate about her patients and their wellbeing. They make a great team and never fail to express how much they care about you even after birth. Truly, I feel so blessed these women are based in Houston and I had the opportunity to walk through my pregnancy and postpartum journey with them. Cyndi Castro525 days agoI just realized I never left a comment for Tulip! I had my twins at home with Shari and team about 1.5 years ago. The prenatal care was amazing, and Shari really listens to you as the Mom regarding what you are comfortable with. Her and the team did everything essential to ensure our birth was safe and we didn't need to transfer. It took me a bit to come to terms with the birth, because it was exceptionally hard at 48 hours and 2 babies, but I am so glad we had a supportive team that made it possible to bring them earthside at home safe and sound. Erika Nichols552 days agoI’m a FTM that had my prenatal, labor, delivery and postpartum care with Tulip Midwifery. The care I received from Shari was phenomenal, personalized and so genuine (a night and day difference from a standard OB practice). Her response time and attention to her clients will make you feel valued! She and her team took such great care of me during my long labor, I felt so safe with them.
